Chicago Police Call for Craigslist Boycott
The Internet has made catching prostitutes more challenging. Without (a) the focal point equilibrium of public red light districts, (b) the public display of prostitution causing individuals to become upset, vice squads are having a harder and harder time enforcing laws against solicitation and prostitution. One Chicago cop is calling for a craigslist boycott, because the site has become a defacto clearinghouse for free prostitution advertising.
