"Jewish or Non-Jewish"?

Here's an article talking about Lieberman's speech at the RNC. This quote really jumped out at me.

"I don't know much about Joe Lieberman, but if he wants to join us he's welcome, Jewish or non Jewish," Eleanor Friedman said.

I have no idea who Eleanor Friedman is (maybe it's this person, though). But what a quote. Really makes the Republicans sound like a bunch of racist morons. Nice.
