How to Read a Film
Channeling Mortimer Adler, Roger Ebert explains to the rest of us how to read a movie. I've always wanted to do something like he suggests - taking apart a movie scene by scene. With DVD players, it'd be easy to do. Maybe one day I can get my six-year-old to help me. Ebert actually learned this from John West, too (no relation apparently to the other West we all know and love).
