Kottke posts a link to a list of a bunch of books about someone who did something for a year and wrote a book about - totally stealing my and MoLT's idea to do the same. My idea is more of a novel about a guy who spends alot of effort trying to do these "things I did for a year" things, so he can write about it, but all his ideas are sort of lame. The book is really more about the duality of human existence, though. You should totally check it out, seriously.
BTW, I totally wish I had written this book.
