Bimodal Salaries

Mankiw posts this neat graph on the salary distribution of lawyers. I'd like to see the same thing for assistant professors in economics. The May 2008 AER: Papers & Proceedings includes only the first and second moments in the distribution of assistant professors, but does break it down by whether the university is BA, MA only or PhD level. Still, a graph like this one would be really interesting, especially if broken down by industry (eg, private, government or academia), and if academia, by school ranking.
